• Responsible for safe, reliable and efficient equipment operation of new cutting edge designed power generation systems
• Responsible for writing and maintaining equipment and operational logs and reports as required in a neat and professional manner.  Reads and understands written instruction and log book notations.
• Operates and monitors all systems and processes within the plant. Must respond to audio alarms and variations of sounds.
• Operate water treatment equipment and plant chemistry.
• Verbally communicate unusual conditions to plant supervision.
• Performs maintenance, routine and preventative when plant conditions allow, and assist in plant cleanup.
• Performs other duties and administrative tasks as assigned by supervision.
• Responsible for complying with all safety, health and environmental rules and procedures.
• Must be able to work closely with the engineering departmetn to reconfigure and try new operating procedures, and document such in a professional manner.

• High School Diploma, trade school, military service or technical training schools are required.
• Minimum 3 years experience operating power or processing plants.
• Valid California Driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Strong mechanical aptitude, basic knowledge of power plant chemistry, physics, electricity and mathematics.
• Must be able to respond calmly and think clearly during emergency situations. 

The following requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.

• Solar, BFB, CFB, Biomass or trash burners a plus.
• Possess DCS experience or control systems experience a plus.
• Cycling experience a plus.
